The Q.brixx series takes the performance of the Q.bloxx modules and delivers them in an integrated, rugged, scalable, and portable form factor. More than a dozen I/O module types are available allowing you to mix and match measurement features with your applications requirements. Each Q.brixx module is individually housed in a rugged aluminum housing that handles data acquisition up to 100 kHz per channel, channel-to-channel isolation (up to 1200VDC), sensor conditioning, filtering, linearization, and conversion to engineering units, all at the I/O measurement level. The integral Q.gate test controller handles the data synchronization, buffering, time stamping, and communication to the automation system or PC over Ethernet (TCP, UDP, Modbus, etc.). The overall result is a portable measurement system that's up to the test.
All Q.brixx I/O modules are complete measurement systems on their own. In fact, they do much more than a typical I/O module. Each module packs it's own microprocessor, FPGA, and has 24-bit A/D converters on every channel. The result is an I/O module that can handle all acquisition, isolation, signal conditioning, fault detection, alarming, averaging, and more, all before the data is even sampled by the system.
Since different applications have different specific needs, we developed a full family of modules with each one suited for a specific purpose. Whether it's 2 channels of universal signal conditioning at 100 kHz, or 16 channels of DC-only data at 10 kHz, we have a module that has been designed to provide the best price and performance for the application at hand. This modular approach ensures you get a system that's just right for you.
The Q.gate test controller transforms the Q.brixx measurement modules into a powerful test automation and control system.The Q.gate handles all of the synchronization (whether internally or externally triggered), data buffering, control, time stamping and transfer of the data to the automation system (typically a PC) over Ethernet. Since all of the transferred data is already synchronized and converted to engineering units, all the PC has to do is display and/or store the results. Since each Q.brixx test controller (Q.gate) can easily handle 16 measurement modules, expanding your system is as easy as adding another module into place. That's up to 256 variables per Q.brixx, and Q.brixxs can be easily connected (and synchronized) together for applications that need higher point counts.
